Traditional Japanese Costume Class

Tuesday July 14th @ the Grand County Public Library 6-7:45pm

Learn how to make a traditional Kosode(Kimono) and Hakama Pants. This traditional outfit has been worn in Japan for hundreds of years and has been featured in many prominate movies, anime, and illustration.

Lecture will include handouts on construction, fabric choice, and other techniques to make these traditional clothes.

About

Welcome to the Website for the Riding of Redbridge, a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, located in and about Moab, Utah. The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating pre-17th-century European history. The SCA is a non-profit educational organization under U.S. law. Membership is open to all who are interested in the Middle Ages.
The Riding is part of the Kingdom of Artemisia which regularly sponsors medieval oriented activities throughout most of Utah, southern Idaho, Montana, and the parts of Colorado and Wyoming that are west of the Continental Divide. The Riding has local meetings every week and is open to anyone who feels brave enough to step into Medieval garb and back into the Middle Ages.
The Riding is sponsored by the Province of Arrows' Flight located in Provo, UT.
